Outdoor Learning has got off to a fantastic start this spring at Innellan Primary School. Our now well established After School Gardening Club organised by Miss Eleanor Stevenson, retired teacher, Mrs Vicki Walkingshaw, Parent Council Chairperson and Mrs Susan Stephenson, class teacher, are seeing the great benefits of all their hard work done during the winter months. Their raised beds of vegetables and spring flowers are providing an attractive display of vibrant colours around the playground.
This Saturday the 28th April 2012 will see the second Scottish Wildlife Trust workshop in action where Innellan Primary pupils are participating in the Teddy Bears picnic in the woods next to our school. The children have already taken part in a Wildlife Trust local beach study. We are delighted to be the first Cowal school to represent The Scottish Wildlife Trust by having the only ‘Watch Group’ in the Cowal Area and Miss Eleanor Stevenson and Mrs Senga Wakefield, Acting Head Teacher are presently leading this ‘Watch’ group.
hi my name is chelsea mullin and i think what yous have done is very good and intresting and also gives people something nice to look at and the childern might have enjoyed doing the planting and growing plants and it could become one of the kids hobbies and keep there heads down and maybe if you could get older and more people involved then that would be brilliant. your sincerly miss mullin x
