Dunoon School Hostel Talent Night

Dunoon School Hostel held an exciting event on the 29th November for St Andrews Night! The first ever Hostel Factor Talent Night was a huge success with both pupils and staff. There were 10 acts highland dancers, a piper, boy bands, a keyboard player and singers. The hall was adorned with flags, bunting and shields. Brandon Wilson started off the show with a short recital on St Andrews Day followed by Rory McCrae with the pipes.
The winners were LMFAO JUNIORS 2 and the runner-up was Katie Stroud. Steven Simpson (one of the hosts/competitors) was given a special award for outstanding effort and commitment. The Hostel Staff came onto the stage at the end with a surprise act – The Hostel Village People. The show finished after the trophy presentation and speeches and the pupils sampled some traditional scottish fayre. Sincere thanks to Dunoon Primary and Dunoon Grammar Schools for the loan of equipment. Roll on next year!

  3. Mary, well done! You organised an absolutely fantastic talent show which everyone here at the hostel thoroughly enjoyed. Steven clearly excelled in his role as your right hand man and together you made a great team and a hard act to follow. Having taken account of pupils views following the show I can confidently inform you that you are now officially a true \\\’Hostel legend\\\’ which means you are written into hostel folklore forever and ever!
