‘Introduction to Using SMART Boards’

Saturday 17th November 2012.  St George’s School, Edinburgh, 

10am – 3.30pm

This workshop is aimed at junior and senior staff who wish to develop their skills in using SMARTBoards. The workshop will include the following distinct learning modules: 

Getting started:

Learn about hardware components, how the SMART Board interactive whiteboard works and the basic principles of touch, write and save.

Basic design in Notebook software:

Add images and interactivity to lesson activities created in Notebook software 11. Learn how to manoeuvre through the software using tabs, toolbars and menus, and discover how to customise tools, change properties and manipulate objects.

Instructional design for interactive whiteboards:

Learn design techniques for setting up lessons on an interactive whiteboard.

Find out how SMART supports you with a number of resources, including free training materials.

Each delegate needs to bring:

  • a laptop in good working order with the latest Notebook Software (version 11) and full Gallery content installed : http://www.smarttech.com/us/Support/Browse+Support/Download+Software
  • When you follow this link. Click to download Notebook Software (version 11).  During the process you will be asked which gallery items you want to download – select ALL. This will download everything you need.

The course is limited to 15 places.  Please be aware that the course requires a minimum number of delegates to run.
