Primary 6 pupils at Rhu had a morning of science that was simply out of this world, thanks to a visit from a space scientist.
The eager astronauts had a blast learning about life in space, gravity, and Time Peak’s mission on the International Space Station. Using a range of everyday equipment such as marshmallows and Blue Tac, the children discovered how the human body reacts when experiencing the zero gravity effects of being in space.
A mixture of hands on tasks and interactive learning ensured there was not a dull moment! So when NASA comes calling, Primary 6 are ready to take off!
I think that would have been a great day. It is not every day a space scientist comes to visit!
