This term Clachan Primary have been learning about William Shakespeare. We looked up the meaning of Shakespearian words, wrote our own sonnets, acted out scenes from Romeo and Juliet, then took ‘A Midsummer’s Night Dream’ and re wrote it using our own words.




We shared our learning with the whole community at our Macmillan coffee afternoon, where we put on our own version of Midsummers Night’s Dream acted out by sock puppets!

We made our own sock puppet characters then built a puppet theatre.
Putting the play into our own words made it easier to understand, we liked making the sock puppets and we were very happy our puppet theatre managed not to fall over!
