On Friday 11th March, Colgrain Primary School had their early and first level Technology Day. The event saw the introduction of our fantastic new iPads, which have been purchased through funding bids and fundraising. To coincide with World Book Day, children dressed up as their favourite book character and used iPad apps to investigate books and stories. Pupils worked collaboratively within mixed stage groups, to create fun posters, comic strips, animation movies and books.
Children and parents also generously donated home baking to our iBake – totals of funds raised are to be confirmed.
The children were able to present their work and share their learning to an audience of parents and pupils at the end of the day.
A fantastic day of learning had by all. We are all looking forward to using our new iPads to enhance learning throughout the school.
I heard all about your Technology Day. What a great idea to link it with World Book Day activities and share your learning and Skills with your Parents – Confident Individuals, Responsible Citizens, Effective Contributors and Successful Learners.
A GREAT BIG Well Done from Mrs Keech and P7/6 at Rosneath Primary
Well done to all who took part. It was fantastic to see the innovative ideas the pupils produced – certainly lots of WOW moments! Thank you to Mrs Cowan and Mrs MacGillivray for organising such an incredible day!
