Kirn Primary School’s P7 pupils were invited to visit the Job Centre in Dunoon last week to learn how to develop their career skills and think about different jobs in the World of Work. Mrs Bancks, the Manager of the Job Centre had organised some thought provoking activities for everyone to take part in.

P7 were also treated to presentations from Skills Development Scotland staff, then used ipads to research the “My World of Work” wesbite. One P7 said “I thought it was fun, and I liked it when we went into the room where we did a job quiz. I liked the Police bit and I would quite like to be a Policeman when I’m older.”

To top it all off the Job Centre staff dressed up to illustrate different types of careers and laid on some pre-Hallowe’en treats. We had a great morning!
