Our pupils have been busy using their enterprising skills to raise money for good causes:
Our Pupil Council organised a ‘Bedtime Story Day’ to mark World Book Day. We wore our pyjamas and brought in books to have a book sale. We raised £88.50 to buy new books for our school.
For Comic Relief, our Pupil Council decided that we should have a funny face and hair day. This allowed us to show off how creative we can be! We also had red noses for sale, a baking stall and nail-painting. Primary 1/2 invited the staff to bring in baby photos and ran a ‘Who am I?’ game where you could make a donation to try and guess who the photos were of. P 5/6 organised and ran a raffle. The staff had some fun too, with a Bake-off competition! We managed to raise £145.67 for the charity!
In preparation for Mother’s Day our P 4/5 class organised and ran a Gift business. A range of gifts were available for the bargain prices of 50p or £1. The choice included jewellery, soaps, perfumes, candles and flowering plants. Customers were then given a gift card to write and their gift was wrapped, then later delivered to be taken home for Mother’s Day. The business successfully managed to deliver all of the gifts and made a profit of £102. The money raised has bought seeds and equipment in order to grow vegetables and flowers in our allotment.
Well done! It looks like you all had lots of fun.
