Primary 7 pupils at Rothesay Primary wowed the ‘Dragons’ with innovative inventions at their Dragons’ Den event on Friday 5th of December. Each pupil designed a product, composed a pitch and made a model. These ideas were presented to a panel of ‘Dragons’ – local business people who gave up their afternoon to grill each pupil on their product, and choose the award winners.
Our ‘Dragons’ this year were George McKenzie, Alec Bennett, Denise McMillan, Lorna Campbell, Stuart Shaw and Ryan McKellar. Primary 7 and their teachers wish to thank each of them for taking time out of their busy schedules to participate in our event. We hope you will help us again next time!
There were three awards given:
Best Pitch: Molly Power ‘The Purrfect Pamper Box’; Connor Aksu ‘Heroes of the Universe’ and Eilish MacNeil ‘Berry Bonanza’.
Most Innovative Idea: Alex Wasley ‘Doggie Warmers’ and Katlyn Cairney ‘Handy Bag Keyring’.
Most Likely to Invest: Amy Simpson ‘Teacher’s Pet’ and Olivia Kell ‘The Charging Box’.
Well done to all the children for their efforts and entrepreneurship. Thanks again to our (friendly) Dragons!
