Fun in the Snow

Yesterday Primary 2 and 2/1 had lots of fun in the snow. We built snowmen and investigated how the snow looked, felt and tasted. We made predictions about how long our snowmen would take to melt. Most people thought the snow on the ground would melt quicker than the snowman. Here is a picture of what was left of the snowmen this morning!

Primary 1 Story Street Open Afternoon

On Monday 22nd December primary 1 invited Mums and Dads to school to share their learning. Over the last few weeks Primary 1 have been helping story book characters find new homes and through activities children were able to learn about those characters and their books. The children then shared these learning experiences with their parents. We all had a great afternoon, thank you all for coming.

Elf Nonsense!

Our naughty little Elves have been up to no good again this weekend. They have been visiting the lunch hall to look for tasty treats and have managed to sneak into Mr Taylors office. They also went to the library to read stories together. We will miss our elves when they return to Santa.

Primary 1’s Noisy Nativity!

On Tuesday 16th December Primary 1 invited their families and friends to watch them perform their Noisy Nativity. Everyone was a star! The narrators remembered their words and had clear loud voices. Our musical instrument players showed great rhythm. Our actors showed confidence acting and dancing on stage. There was lovely singing from everyone and well done to ‘Mary’ who sang ‘Away in a manger’ beautifully! We hope you enjoyed watching our show as much as we enjoyed performing it!

Christmas in P4

We have been busy preparing for Christmas. We made some Christmas cards with penguins, robins and santas. We also learnt how to draw elves for a display which is up in the schools Big Hall for everyone to see.
We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Tobacco Education in P7

Primary 7 have enjoyed participating in Tobacco Education. We have learnt lots of interesting facts and statistics. We particularly enjoyed the ‘Smoking Machine’ which showed us the impact that 1 cigarette has on your lungs! Do you know that there are over 4000 chemicals in one cigarette? We have all asked our parents to make a pledge to have a smoke-free home and car as second hand smoking is extremely dangerous!
