P2/3 Monday 30th March writing lesson

Morning everyone!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  This week, we’re learning to follow the same setting, characters and plot by continuing a story.  Today, I’ll ask you to match characters and setting to a story starter.

Remember you can pick up lunches from Kirkhill PS.  Also, I will be posting fun ideas on the school Twitter page.

Any questions, please just ask.  Enjoy the sunshine!

Love, Mrs BP x

P1 Learning-Monday 30th March

Good morning everyone, we hope that you have had a nice weekend.

Here is what we would like you to work on today.

Week 2 timetable Home Learning Grid March 30 week 2

Literacy

  • Our new sound today is ‘th’.

Where is the ‘th’ sound made? (Note for parents it is made light blue sound made with the tip of the tongue touching the bottom of the teeth.) It is the cheeky sound-the only time you get to stick your tongue out at your teachers!

  • Can you think of any words that use the ‘th’ sound?
  • Does the ‘th’ sound come at the start, the middle or the end of these words?
  • Slide some sounds together to form words:

thick, thin, think, thank, teeth, tooth, path, bath, cloth, with.

  • Now write these words and draw a picture to match. (Extension activity, write sentences.)
  • Videos to look at,

PE

Get active! If you can, go outside.  If you can’t, try using one of our suggested sites. We know that lots of you are loving following Joe Wicks and his keep fit routines. We are more than happy for you to do this whenever you like.

Health and Wellbeing

Spread a little kindness wherever you can-Middleton Care Home are running a competition this week for children. They would like you to create a drawing/letter/card and ask a grown up to take a photograph and post it to their Facebook page. The winner will win a handmade  fairy door.  They will print out the entries into a newspaper for the residents to look at.  This will help them to keep in touch with the outside world.
