Life skills are at the heart of our curriculum in Lomond Class. We have been learning how to safely prepare and cook different foods to a strict recipe. Over the past few sessions we have been making shortbread, lamb kebabs and French Toast. Well done to all our budding chefs.

PRIMARY 1 CLASS TALKS
Today in Primary 1 we started our Class Talks. Each week four children are chosen to prepare a talk which they do at home and then present to the class the following Thursday. Children make posters at home to support them when delivering their talk. The children presenting today were amazing and the class were excellent at listening and asking questions too. Your child will be given a letter home when it is their turn to prepare their talk.
As a class, we decided the child talking should:
- Use a loud and clear voice.
- Look at the audience when speaking.
- Share good information.
- Answer questions well.
We reminded ourselves of how to display good listening:
- Staying quiet.
- Sitting still.
- Listening to all of the words.
- Looking at the person who is talking.
Here we are in action:
