P6B Weekly Highlights WC 13.11.2023

Hello, lead learners here writing this week’s blog!

In literacy we did critical literacy, looking at the different points of view and writing down some information about what other people think.  We also did a class piece for response writing, and we wrote our thoughts on a protesting video. We watched an author’s live video for book week and our school got a shout-out!

For maths, we did mild, spicy, and hot number talk groups with show-me boards for completing multiplication and division.

In health and well-being this week we had some fresh air and went litter-picking around our local community. Even the horrible rain did not stop us! We also made anti-bullying posters.

We have begun practicing for the Burns night celebration as I am sure all of you parents are excited about.

We created stained glass windows and some people made a big heart for the symbol of love and others did a colouring on a big sheet for the sign of inclusion

Overall, it was a great week.

Well done to our Stars of the Week and our Hot Chocolate winner!
