We have had a super learning time in P4.  We have been looking at traditional fairy tales and seeing them from an alternative perspective.  We particularly enjoyed ‘The Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig’.  We used this to write an exposition (persuasive argument) about why the wolf isn’t bad.  We have been working on Fractions for our maths and also looking at the area of shapes.

Liliana : “I liked doing PE today as we were doing races and we learned a saying for when you crouch down at the start of the race, call TTKnee”

Emily : “I liked making flowers using oil pastels.  We used hot and cold colours to create contrast.”

Lucy : “I like doing maths.  Working out the area was fun and using cmwas fun”

Jacob : “I liked doing music because we got to sing and there was a lot of songs that we enjoy.  We will miss having Mrs Morrison for music each week but Mrs Callaghan has a fantastic music project planned for us!”

Eilidh : “I liked writing about the wolf not being a big bad wolf because he was actually making a cake for his Granny and needed some sugar.  It wasn’t his fault that he had a bad cold and his sneeze blew down their houses!”

Inaayah: “I really liked dong spelling this week.  I liked that we learned a lot of new words using the ly pattern.”

Leo “I really liked working with my group to make a house that would keep the three little pigs safe.  We used lots of different things and had to work out what to use and how to use it!”

We are looking forward to our day off on Monday and are hoping that the sun will shine for us!

Our hot chocolate winner this week is …….  Inaayah!   Well done on being ready, respectful and safe at all times.

Our new reading champion is Carina for always being an on-task reader during ERIC time.
