Primary 7a Learning Highlights 11.09.26

Dear all primary 7a parents and carers,

This week has been a busy one in primary 7a, here are some of our highlights:

We have been reading ‘millions’ and the children are enjoying it, this week we completed reading comprehension on chapters 6 and 7. We had a focus on writing a mystery story this week, the children will have the chance to finish these next week.

In numeracy we have been focussing on equivalent fractions and simplifying fractions. We have been looking at shape in our beyond number, after reminding ourselves of 3D shapes, we have moved on to circles, working out radius and diameter, and triangles, different types of triangles and their properties.

Our RE has been focussed on being stewards of the earth, the dangers facing wildlife and our earth and how we are responsible for looking after it. We started creating posters encouraging people to save the wildlife, everyone chose an endangered animal which they wished to campaign for and we will be creating these posters next week.

Unfortunately on Thursday, our outdoor learning was unable to happen due to the weather. We went outside and had time for a daily mile. Can I please ask that children are sent to school with a jacket on Thursdays so they can participate in outdoor learning even if it is raining.

Well done to everyone who competed in the cross country this week!

Well done on a great week primary 7! Have a lovely weekend everyone 🙂

Miss Duddy
