Our learning about Children Rights this week was Article 17 (access to information from the media): Every child has the right to reliable information from a variety of sources, and governments should encourage the media to provide information that children can understand. Governments must help protect children from materials that could harm them.

We investigated how to check information on a website or games platform to check if it was reliable and discussed how to report websites or unwelcome information on games platforms.

We prepared for our future outdoor learning by carrying out a stock check of spades, digging forks and different gardening tools. Next week we hope to start planting in reuseable items brought from home. e.g. wellington boots too small or with holes.

In math we have been revising symmetry and coordinates which we hope to be able to use as part of outdoor learning next week.

This week we began to find out about how democracy works. We had a virtual tour of the Scottish Parliament and found out that the Scottish Government are in charge or Devolved matters like, education, transport and health. But the UK Government are in charge of Reserved matters like the army.

We also began to draft our House/Vice Captain speeches using our persuasive language. We hope to finish these next week. Hopefully!

In RE this week we have revised our Pope Francis Faith Award and explored the Gift of Fortitude. Next week we will begin to explore the Gift Fear of the Lord.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the Holiday Monday.
