P6B Learning highlights- week beginning 21.3.22

Good afternoon,

Literacy: This week our class participated in a valuable lesson on visualisation. We were able to successfully draw what we had imagined in our heads as we listened to descriptions. We enjoyed looking at all of our drawings and comparing as we all visualise things in different ways.

Numeracy and Maths: We have continued to work on missing numbers and algebraic equations. We were able to successfully represent numbers for letters and shapes using inverse rules. In maths we used our knowledge of times tables to work on area and could use A=LXB to work out the area covered.

Art: We tied our art lesson in with our outdoor learning as we looked for signs of Spring.

Outdoor learning: We went out on our class walk to look for signs of Spring. We came across some flowers beginning to bloom, trees blossoming, and signs of new life.

Over and above: Well done to Ethan for working hard in Literacy and maths to achieve the hot chocolate at home.

Have a great weekend,

Mrs Roy
