Suggested Programme of work 15th June 2020

Good morning children!

Morning prayer. Say a Hail Mary for all people who feel they are victimised because of their religion, colour, culture or identity. May they find peaceful but powerful ways to raise awareness in society and to help develop the spirit of acceptance and love for all of mankind. Amen.

Children this week we will be concentrating on revisiting and revising many of the things you have been working on this term during April to June.  I am going to try to  give you lots of fun activities to do to help you revise.

Rhyming word tennis

_________________

Player 1 says a word. Player 2 then has 5 seconds to say a word that rhymes with that word.  Players go back and forth saying words that rhyme with the last word, If you can’t think of a word within 5 seconds your opponent gets the point. First to 10 points wins.

Grammar – revise using commas.

T-L-5542-Commas-to-the-Rescue-Differentiated-Activity-Sheets (1)

WRITING A LETTER TO SOMEONE YOU ADMIRE.

You will see two examples of letters written to Andy Murray, The second contains more paragraphs than the first if you would like to follow this example for more challenge.

Now write a letter to someone who is famous and talented.  Remember to look carefully at the layout of the letter. Write your address in the right hand corner. Begin with dear, etc. Enjoy!

MAKE A TIME CAPSULE

Make a time capsule of things you remember about staying at home during lock down and in particular about home schooling. Think of things in the house that will remind you of this.  It could be a list of books you have read, photos of walks you took with your family, a completed jotter you have been working in, a list of all the most fun things you did with your family, lists of things you cooked, your favourite songs on the radio at this time, memories about creating the perfect picnic, or movie night. You can make this time capsule up with anything that’s important to you.

If you are unsure of how to make a time capsule just run a search on you-tube to find out.

Hope you have had enjoyed your day of learning!

Stay safe and God bless.
