As part of our Easter Enterprise Activities P4/5 will be selling Earth Hour Muffins to raise money for SCIAF this week at break times. Just bring along 50p and a yummy muffin is all yours!
16/3/16 Muffin Update! So proud of our stall pupils they raised £35:52 this week for SCIAF. Thanks so much to all the pupils and staff who munched their way through the muffins and donated money -you are brilliant!
Just a wee update to say our Primary 6 campers have arrived safe and well.
I spoke to Miss Glencorse this morning also and she said that the Primary 7s are having a really great time and all is going well. She is delighted with the behaviour of the pupils and how they are participating in all aspects of the camp. #thumbsuptoallcampers
So proud of all the effective contributors in P4/5 this week as they designed Roald Dahl stories in a box for World Book Day 2016. All the entries were super! Mrs C was glad she was not judging and P3/4 were excellent judges as they provided post it feedback for all the designers.Thanks again to everyone that took part……..

Calling all P4 and P5 pupils can you take up our World Book Day Challenge to celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th Birthday this year and create one of his stories in a box? This weekend gather together items you think you could recycle and use to create one of his famous stories in class next week….
Bring in a shoe box if you have one spare!
This week we continued to work on our topic we learned that the Egyptians lived near lakes and the Nile because of the environment. We also learned that they relied on the wet season, each year, for new life for their crops. 5000 years ago they developed a calendar so they could track when the rains were going to come. The children now want to learn more about Ancient Egyptian calendars and try to make them. The children also finished painting the Egyptian Gods for display and they look fantastic. We hope to share all this learning with you at our Assembly on Friday 18th March.
Also this week the children have been learning the Scottish poem; Mrs Nae Offense by Gregor Steele. They all did very well and it was a very difficult decision, but in the end Aiste and Niamh were the two chosen to go through to the next round.
Well done P3/4.
