P1 Parents & Carers – Scottish Book Trust needs your help!

Every November, Scottish Book Trust gifts a free bag of books to every P1 child in Scotland to help them with their reading, writing and counting and to encourage them to develop a life-long love of books. Scottish Book Trust is asking parents and carers of children in P1 to complete a short online survey about the Bookbug Primary 1 Family Bag. Please click here to take part in the survey, which shouldn’t take more than 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback will help us to improve the Bookbug P1 Family Bag in the future and you could win a free bundle of books! The deadline for completing the survey is 10 February 2017

VOTE FOR THE BEST – VOTE FOR BLES – PLEA FOR YOUR VOTE!

Hi everyone,

We have registered BLES Training with Galaxyhotchocolate.com where if we receive enough votes could win £300.  As you know we never do things just for ourselves.  If we were successful, we were asked what we would do with the money and how it would benefit the community.

We have collectively agreed, if successful we would make a bench that would be made by our young people at BLES then donated within the community focusing on the elderly which would bring together the different generations.

Through email, facebook and twitter we are asking you to share the link below with as many of your friends, family and work colleagues and ask them to vote for BLES Training

Thank you in advance as always, your support is really appreciated

Kind regards

Training Officer

BLES Training

BLES recently worked with our Primary 7 pupils on a very successful training programme, introducing them to possible jobs / skills to focus on for the future.

Reminder: Christmas Fun Day on Friday

P6/7 will be responsible for leading and running this.

It is a non-uniform day.  We ask for £2 per pupil (maximum £4 a family)  to cover the cost of the day.Image result for christmas fun day clip art

AAL team to the rescue!

Mrs Conaghan was very kind to come into P2/3 class and read them a story about ‘Scaredy Squirrel’ on EPIC.

P2/3 loved the story and wanted to be able to use EPIC to find more stories about scaredy squirrel. Very kindly the AAL team from P4/5 came in to show us how to use EPIC on the ipads. They helped us to set up our profiles, choose what books we liked and how to read them.

Thank you AAL team!
