Mill Centre Library trip for P4/5
The pupils were extremely well behaved this afternoon as P4/5 counted our steps over to the library. We explored the services the library provides for our community and had a lesson from Caroline the librarian as how to use the self checkout machine when borrowing books. The children who are not members took home cards for parents and guardians to fill in so they can become members and we promised to pop back and visit again in May…
Cook School for P4/5 was great today…
We were enjoying naming ,peeling and chopping lots of healthy vegetables to pop into our soup pot today. Reece said he felt like a chef and Lucas took a photo on his device of the ingredients so he can try making this at home with an adult . David says his gran is great at making homemade soup and she makes it with ham.The pupils are going home to think of recipes they would like to try in cook school this term.
Spring clean for our garden!
A big thanks to the parents who came along today to help us clean up our school garden and get rid of all the litter. It’s needing a little TLC now that winter is over and Spring is here so looking for more volunteers to help out… 🙂
Best Pupil Voice Group Ever!
Our group were fantastic yesterday adding comments to our school blog and saying what they thought of all the active learning taking place in our school. Homework is to comment on this post -don’t forget!
After School Clubs
Just to remind everyone that after school clubs start next week (week beginning 18th April). TOPS club and Football club remain as normal. However, Ms Gavin’s reading club is for P1 ONLY this term. Only P1 pupils will attend this club this term. It will be slightly shorter, finishing at 4:10pm.
Welcome Back to Term 4!
It has been a busy morning already in P4/5 we had a Holiday check in and leaders organised their group news and chose a reporter to share ideas with the class. Everyone sounds as if they have been very active outside enjoying the better weather and lighter nights-well done! No after school clubs this week all starting in Week 2 of the term…..
