Now that we have permission forms returned and organised we are able to reintroduce our GoPro action camera to record footage of the children’s learning.
The GoPro can be worn over children’s clothing but some children prefer to hold it or have someone else hold it. The footage is then downloaded onto an Ipad and in small groups children are supported to watch the footage back and edit it, thinking about what parts will make interesting viewing and what parts they would like to share.
You can see from the video footage from this week, new children are becoming familiar with the camera and are very much aware of this piece of digital technology and what it does! This week the GoPro was worn to the library, when we had a visit from Mari from Child Smile to nursery and when children were playing freely, exploring the hill.
You may notice that the footage is sometimes cut short mid sentence, this could be because a child without permission has came into view or personal information was being discussed e.g. a child saying their address.
We would like to share our learning near and far and encourage readers to come to our blog.
