Mrs Claus Glow Meet
Yesterday afternoon at our party we had a Glow Meet with Mrs Claus who told us how busy she is getting the reindeer ready for Saturday night! Children’s faces lit up when Mrs Claus said hello to them, how did she know their names? Thank you Mrs Claus, enjoy your rest in the holidays!

We are learning about the Nativity Story.
The children are learning about the Nativity Story through role play; dressing up; practising our Nativity story, Jesus’ Christmas Party; and re-telling the story using small world characters. Below are some of the comments the children made when they were asked about the Nativity Story
Documenting Learning with our GoPro camera.
Children have been continuing to wear our GoPro camera to document their learning experiences this week. You can see from the video footage they are now very much aware of this piece of digital technology and what it does.
We then download the footage and watch the video clips back on the Ipad. Together we discuss what we think makes the videos interesting and what pieces of footage we should take out.
When the videos have been published onto our blog we can watch them back on the Smartboard. This provides another opportunity for revisiting learning and discussing knowledge with our peers. Nursery staff can note quality observations and plan next steps when watching the videos back with the children.
Children can then share what they have been learning with their families by wearing a QR codelabel home. Please speak to Miss Wilkinson for more information on how you can access our blog using the QR code.
We plan to use it to record shorter, more focused learning activities when more children have had the opportunity to wear it and feel comfortable around it.
When watching the videos you may notice some conversations are cut short. This is because not all children have permission for their photos or videos to be uploaded onto our blog and staff have to edit the videos to respect the privacy of all of our families.

Christmas Sing-A-Long on Glow
We are taking part in a Christmas Sing-A-Long in ‘Marshmallow World’ on a West Lothian Glow site. All schools across the county have been invited to take part by recording and uploading their rendition of a familiar Christmas song. We hope we get lots of ‘likes’ on our videos!
Morning Children singing When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney.
Afternoon Children singing When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney.
Well done to all the boys and girls who sang their hearts out even although they were all very warm and tired after a Nativity dress rehearsal! Didn’t they do well?

Christmas Curry Club.
Children plan the snack menu each week and help to order their snack from an online supermarket that delivers the groceries to us on a Monday morning. This week korma sauce, rice and naan breads were a big hit!
