\\\\\\\ Christmas Fair Reminder ///////

The Christmas Fair is on Thursday 30th November next week, 2-4pm, please come along to meet Santa in his grotto and have you photo taken, buy home baking and home made crafts.  There will be a raffle, tombola, punch balloons and lots more.  Donations of home baking and raffle/tombola prizes are welcome.  We are in desperate need of parent/carer helpers to help out at the fair too, either manning stalls or in nursery.  Please speak to Mrs Todd if you can help.

Thank you

St Andrews Day

We will be celebrating St Andrews Day in nursery on Wednesday next week (29th November), due to the Christmas Fair being on actual St Andrews Day.

Children can wear something tartan to nursery on Wednesday if they wish and we will have a special Scottish snack that day and learn a little bit about St Andrew.

Sing-A-Long 2017 Song Booklet

BEYC Sing-a-long 2017

This year’s Nativity story is  ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’ by Niki Davies.  In December, children will dress up as the characters and perform a Nativity sing-a-long for parents/carers and grandparents.  This booklet contains the words to the songs and if you search for ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’ on YouTube it will help you to learn the tunes to practice at home.

Letters to Santa!

We know it is a little early but children have already been discussing what they would like from Santa and looking at catalogues, choosing what they would like to ask for for Christmas.

We asked the children how they could let Santa Claus know what they would like and we agreed writing letters would be a good idea.

We are writing letters to Santa in nursery and posting them in our post box we made at the art area.

Do you know Santa’s address?   It is

Santa/Father Christmas,
Santa’s Grotto,
Reindeerland,
XM4 5HQ

Please look on the Royal Mail Letters to Santa website for more information, the cut off date for posting Santa a letter is Friday 8th December.

Stay, Play and Learn Week / Parents Night.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Stay, Play and Learn this week.  We hope you enjoyed your time in nursery and looking at Learners Journey’s together with your child.

Next Thursday night (23rd November) is Parents Evening.  Please see Mrs Todd if you wish to make an appointment if you have not already done so.

Please comment below and tell us what you enjoyed and learned about nursery during your time at Stay, Play and Learn.
