At Bathgate Early Years Centre we are always striving to get it right for all our children.
Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC) is the national approach in Scotland to improving outcomes and supporting the wellbeing of our children and young people by offering the right help at the right time from the right people.
To support our children in developing their understanding of wellbeing we have begun to use some characters from a recent Care Inspectorate document ‘ Our Creative Journey’. We plan to use the characters to engage the children and support their discussion and learning. As learning opportunities arise we will build on the children’s understanding of the 8 Wellbeing Indicators. As we were looking at Safer Internet Day we had alot of discussion about how do we keep safe and what that means for the children.
