As you are aware we use the internet in nursery to support children’s interests. We also continually reinforce the message of online safety using resources from CeOp, NSPCC and the Safer Internet Centre (see previous posts below). We have recently purchased a copy of Penguinpig, a story aimed for children aged 5-7 years with a strong underlying message that we need to think carefully before we trust what we read online. It enforces the message that some people use the Internet to trick others and that, in the event of being uncertain, children should check wit h a trusted adult.
