Today we met our new four legged nursery friend Hector. Hector is a one year old miniature Jack Russel and was brought to nursery by Jade, who volunteers with Pets As Therapy. It was Hectors fist ever nursery visit and he really enjoyed all the attention from the boys and girls, so much so he is coming back at the end of term for another visit.
The Pets As Therapy charity aims to bring temporary but regular animal companionship and comfort to patients/residents in hospitals, nursing homes, day care centres etc, by visits from temperament tested registered pets.
