Today we used microscopes to study everyday materials up close.
We were amazed by what we saw!
We studied bread, orange peel, vegetable soup, cheese, coffee, salt, pepper and sand.
P5 would like to thank our parent helper, Mrs Haigh, for all her hard work today. You were awesome!
Premiership Experience
On Tuesday 12th March a group of our Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils will visit Anfield Stadium in Liverpool then go to Manchester to watch Manchester City play Schalke.

We have been learning:
- to take part in a Judo ‘taster’ session
- to read and spell words with the ‘ee’ sound (e.g. these and here)
- about Pancake Day and Ash Wednesday
- about the talents we have in our classroom
World Book Day in P1/2
Primary 1/2 went on a World Book Day Scavenger Hunt. We had so much fun working together and looking at new books. 
World Book Day
This year we will celebrate world book day with a range of activities in class. There is no need to dress up.
We will also have a focus on books during the week beginning 18th of March with a Scholastic Book Fair, which will be available to visit on Parents Evening ( 21st March).

We are learning:
- about multiplication as repeated addition
- to sing in a ‘latin’ style (like Ricky Martin!)
- to write stories using our ‘Mighty Writer’ tool to help
