Stay and play
Just a reminder to parents for stay and play this Monday. Morning session between 8.45-9.45 am and afternoon session between 12.10-1.10. This is a super opportunity for you to share play with your child and let them show you what they enjoy doing at nursery.
Theatre production for the early years department
Yesterday the nursery children were very lucky to have a special performance from a theatre company . The children were all thrilled with the singing, dancing, music and the story of the woodland, how the characters over came challenge, fears ,built self esteem and helped each other to succeed. At the end they were invited to explore the props with the cast.
Big Spooky Read
Just when you thought our Hallowe’en celebrations were all over! It is our Big Spooky Read tomorrow. It will take place in the main hall from 8.30 am until 9.30 am. All welcome to come along in Hallowe’en costumes and read a story with your children. Staff will be there to help out.
The Scottish Sun Newspaper Reading Bus is coming to our school tomorrow morning. Some of our pupils will be able to go on board and have a story read to them by a real author! The photographs will be in the Saturday edition of the Scottish Sun.
Hallowe’en fun in nursery
What a spooky day we had. Dookin for apples, pin the skull on the skeleton, creepy feely tin ,rats in the sand and so much more. The children all looked great in their costumes ! Thanks to all parents and careers who managed to pop back early and join in our spooky fun.

The School App prize draw took place during our assembly today. Congratulations to all the winners!
Thank you to everyone who has downloaded the App – almost 200 downloads in our first week! Please encourage others to download it too. We would like every family to have it downloaded, but don’t stop there – mums and dads, grandparents, older brothers and sisters, childminders, after-school care.

Good morning,
A quick reminder of the fantastic NSPCC Net-Aware website https://www.net-aware.org.uk/which gives detailed advice and reviews of the different social media apps which young people use. It covers over 50 different apps including popular apps like Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat to lesser known apps such as MovieStarPlanet, Kik, Roblox and Musical.ly. It reviews the levels of risk associated with each app and also includes the views of different young people about each app and how safe they feel using it. This is an excellent website for parents to use where issues are arising with a particular app.
