Book Day in P6R!
P6R look fantastic today dressed as characters from their favourite books. We have enjoyed many activities such as researching our favourite Author, writing a book review, designing a new cover for our favourite book and creating our own book marks.
Well done everyone!
Rebecca – I dressed up as ‘The White Rabbit’ from Alice and Wonderland. This is my favourite book because “I enjoy how the bunny keeps saying he is late and Alice becomes tiny.”
Jack – I dressed up as Hagrid from Harry Potter. Harry Potter is my favourite book because “It revolves around magic and its a fun book.”
Skye – I dressed up as Katnis Everdean from The Hunger Games. This is my favourite book because “It has a lot of thrilling adventures.”
Sophie – I dressed up as ‘Gangsta Granny’. This is my favourite book because “I like the way it shows Granny’s can be cool too!”.
Millie – I dressed up as Maria from The book of Life. This is my favourite book because “It has a good story.”
Kai – I dressed up as Ronaldo. My favourite book is ‘Shoot 2017 Annual’. this is my favourite because “It tells you information about the football players.
Pawel – I dressed up as Dr Strange. This is my favourite book because “I like the way he was magic and he never knew.”
Lewis – I dressed up as Huw Jones a Rugby Player. My favourite book is ‘The Story of Huw Jones’ this is my favourite because “Huw Jones won Scotland the Finals in Rugby this year.”
Ella – I dressed up as Hetty Feather from the book Hetty Feather. This is my favourite book because “It was really fun to read!”
Ewan – I dressed up as Harry Potter. My favourite book is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. This is my favourite book because “I like the Dragon in it.”
Finlay – I dressed up as John Cena, he is a Wrestler. My favourite book is WWE Annual 2017 because “It has all my favourite wrestlers in and it tells me information about them.”
Jack – I dressed up as Harry Potter. My favourite book is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire because “It has alot of fantasy in it.”
Mason – I dressed up as an Justin Flannigan a MMA fighter. It is one of my favourite books because “it teaches you how to stand and how to defend yourself.”
Eilidh – I dressed up as a Spy from the book ‘How to become a Spy’. Its my favorite book because “it gives you information about where to hide stuff”
Alanagh – I dressed up as Hermonie from Harry Potter. My favourite book is Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone because “It makes you believe anything is possible.”
Shaun – I dressed up as Joe Heart he is a Goal Keeper. My favourite book is ‘The international football book’. This is my favourite because “It has the worlds greatest players in it.”
St Joseph’s Christmas Fayre
Our annual Christmas Fayre takes place on Friday 1st of December in the school hall from 11.00 am.
Donations for toy, tombola and home baking stalls can be handed into the school office. Donations for the Christmas Hamper will also be gratefully received. All monies raised go to support the children to take part in activities such as pantos and excursions. We value your continued support and look forward to seeing you on Friday.

Now in its ninth year, Switch Off Fortnight provides teachers with curriculum-linked resources that get the whole school working together on a fun and rewarding activity which can help you achieve an Eco Schools Award.
Endeavour our Eco house will be helping us to find a way to participate through our Assembly today.
