Happy New Year!
Primary 1 started off the new year with a bang! They worked so hard on their Elkonin boards building words using phonemes and we practised reading some common words. This is going to be a super term with lots of learning and fun!
Merry Christmas
Primary 5 have been getting into the Christmas spirit again and have created lovely snow globes with snowmen in them.

The pupils and staff of St Joseph’s Primary would like to thank our parents and community for their support during the festive season events. It has been a very busy and exciting time. We wish you a happy and peaceful Christmas and look forward to an exciting New Year.

Primary 4/5 worked together with their shoulder partner and used their problem solving skills to investigate who stole Mrs Claus’ Christmas pudding.
P4/5 Dear Mrs Claus…
Primary 4/5 were inspired by the 2016 M&S advert featuring Mrs Claus https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5QPXhStb5I. We discussed the importance of thinking of others at Christmas. Everyone thought about someone they would like to send a present to and wrote a letter to Mrs Clause asking for a very special gift.

Christmas Baubles
Primary 5 have been designing Christmas baubles. They each got a quarter of a bauble and were asked to design it. They enjoyed the activity and put a lot of effort into their designs.
They were then put together to form a whole bauble and look fab!
A special visitor arrives….

Party time in P1, P1/2 and P2
We all had so much fun at our Christmas party. We danced, played games, ate yummy party food and we even had a special visit from……….SANTA!!!!
Nativity Time!!
Primary 2 were raring to go on Thursday morning for their final Nativity performance!
All children were fabulous and we were incredibly proud of them!
