Primary 2 had great fun completing part 2 of our 5 senses experiment! We used our sense of touch to feel mystery objects and our sense of taste to determine the mystery foods!
We were having so much fun that Mrs O’shaughnessy wanted to join in!
P6 are off to Ardeonaig on Wednesday for some exciting outdoor adventures. We can’t wait!
Below is a copy of the kit list for our trip in case anyone has misplaced it.
Pupils should take a packed lunch with them on Wednesday and wear their school jumper for travelling. Some money (change) can be taken for use in the vending machine at the centre.
Pupils should not bring phones and expensive cameras, as these are not insured and we are unable to accept responsibility for these items. You can bring a disposable camera instead if you wish. Hairdryers, straighteners etc are also not used whilst we are at camp.
We will post photos etc on our school’s Twitter feed while we are away. Just follow us on Twitter, our handle is – @StJosephspswhit
An alternative bus has been arranged and has just left with pupils on board. Thank you for your patience.
The school bus has currently broken down outside the school. The bus company are in the process of working this out but pupils will be home a little later than expected. We will update you as soon as we know more.
In the interests of safety there will continue to be no access to staff car parks to non-essential school traffic. We advise parents to continue to use the method of drop off via Gateside Road/Taylor Road and leaving via Ireland Avenue. Please do not continue up to the school entrance, there will be no access, as pupils are crossing and there is very limited space for turning cars. This presents a danger to pupils who are trying to access the school entrance. We thank you for your assistance and cooperation in keeping our pupils safe.
Dear Parents/Carers,
Please be advised that I have sent a letter home with your child detailing a taste test experiment.
I have listed the different ingredients I will be using. I would greatly appreciate if you could make me aware of any allergies.
Thank you for your continued support.
Miss McLachlan
On Monday we invited the mothers or special adults in to celebrate Mothers Day. We sang songs and made decorated biscuits, flower arrangements and painted tulip pictures. We all enjoyed the cheese and spring onion scones which the children baked using the spring onions we grew in the nursery garden.
