We have been learning:

• to add and take away using a number line or number square to help
• to write a story about finding the Loch Ness monster
• to share some of our achievements outside of the classroom

 

P5 spent this afternoon using LEGO WeDo 2.0 to build robots and program their movements.

We built MILO the Science Rover and used the IPads to program and control his movements. We worked cooperatively, problem solved and had lots of fun.

Well done P5! What will we make next time?

• to listen to and respond to baroque music
• to work with a partner creatively

Raising children with confidence

We have been learning:

• to spell and write words using the phoneme ‘o-e’
• to make up and act out a story, with a partner
• to read and write o’clock times

 

 

St Joseph’s Primary School present a community screening of “Resilience, The biology of stress and the science of hope. On Wednesday the 30th January from 6.00pm – 8.00pm with a discussion led by Suzanne Zeedyk in St Joseph’s Primary School, Gateside Road, Whitburn EH47 0NJ.

We have been learning:

• to make and interpret information from tables and pictograms
• to take turns and count carefully
• to use our imagination and creativity in making pictures of ‘Nessy’
• to make a tartan pattern with coloured paper

unfortunately, the school is experiencing a problem with the telephone line.  Staff in the office are unable to hear the person talking on the telephone.  This problem has been reported and we hope to have it rectified as soon as possible.
