Book Fair
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As is tradition in St Joseph’s Primary, the Book Fair will be visiting the school between 9th and 16th of October. Children will have an opportunity to visit with their class during the day and see what items there are on offer. Your child will be able to reserve a book and payment can be sent to the school.

Presenting our design projects
Primary 4 planned and designed fabulous Ancient Egyptian models and presented their designs to the class. They have written all of their own instructions and will now assess each other’s instructions using the success criteria they agreed. 
Lights, Camera, Action!
Primary 4 have been learning to create our own comic strips. We also have had great fun role playing and videoing these!
Arts and crafts
We had great fun making our own superheroes and villains with lollipop sticks, tissue paper , cardboard and paint .
Dem Bones Dem Bones!
Primary 4 had great fun learning all about the human skeleton in science. They made their own skeletons and have been learning to identify and name the bones in the body. Next time they will be learning about the position and function of the major organs.
P4 Superhero Synonyms
P4 have been using a thesaurus to learn about synonyms. This is a great way of improving their vocabulary and making their writing and speaking more exciting or interesting.

RSPB Big Birdwatch
St Joseph’s Eco Group will be taking part in the Big School’s Birdwatch next week.

We will hold our Burns celebration on Monday 29th January.
The children will be involved by singing songs or dancing.
Everyone should wear some tartan and bring £1.00 for charity.
