World Book Day – Primary 1!

Wow! What an amazing day we have had in Primary 1 celebrating World Book Day!

We have had lots of fun painting our potatoes to make them into our favourite book characters, completed a book scavenger hunt, spent some time reading our favourite books, created our favourite characters using play dough, completed a book wordsearch and designed our own book covers!

We have loved wearing our pyjamas to school today!

Our favourite activity was The Masked Reader! We listened very carefully to the clues when thinking about our guesses! We can’t wait for the results to see how many we guessed correctly!

This week in P1…

We have been learning:

  • the ‘h’ sound
  • Subtraction facts
  • Identifying medicines and safety with medicine
  • 2nd week of Advent

We have also been completing beautiful Christmas craft which the children will be able to purchase (please check school bags for letters containing more information).

Please note due to next week being the final week of term, there will be no set homework however children can continue to log onto Seesaw and explore if they wish to do so! It has been fantastic to see all their amazing work on Seesaw this week!

It has been another busy week filled with amazing learning and lots of Christmas fun!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
