Magical Moments!

Primary 6 were discovering “Immersive Reader” view in Word today. You can find Immersive Reader view in Word 2016 or in Glow with Word 365 Online.

We were so involved in exploring this tool that no one wanted to go to lunch; these photos are all after the bell. It was great that Immersive Reader view will store your background colour and font preferences, it will also read any Word document!

However, it was the ability to translate and read aloud the translation that really fascinated everyone.

So what does your Acrostic poem look like in Russian? What does it sound like? How about Polish? Would you say it that way? How good is the Polish speech?

Why don’t you check it out yourself – everyone has access through the “waffle” in Glow!

P6/7 Class Assembly and Conversation Cafe

Primary 6/7 invite you to attend their class assembly on Friday 15th February at 9.15 in the school hall.

The first of our “Conversation Cafes” will take place before the P6/7 assembly (8.45 – 9.15) on Friday morning. Join us for tea or coffee and find out about the recent film Resilience, which was shown here and in the other local schools during the past few weeks.

Resilience – Another chance to see!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Community showing of Resilience. If you were unable to attend you would be more than welcome to go to one of our local schools who are also showing the film. Some of the comments that were left last night included:

“Amazing work being done in St Joseph’s”

“I was totally unaware that all this work was going on”

“…open evenings in other schools with the movie to increase awareness”

Look out for further information on our “Conversation Cafes” coming soon.
