P1D Use Their Senses

P1D had been learning about their 5 senses over the course of Term 1 and took part in a Senses Walk this week.  Thankfully the rain held off for us!  The children explored and recorded pictorially all 5 senses in turn, as they proceeded to walk through our school woodland.  Different examples included hearing an aeroplane and birds singing, touching rough bark, smelling damp leaves, seeing a pile of branches and beautifully carved woodland furniture.  Last of all, we tasted raisins that our teacher brought along for a healthy snack.

We looked at the photos taken when we got back to class which led to much delight as well as discussion about what sense was being used and how did we know.  (Remember that if you click on a photo you will view it as a bigger image.)
