P 2/3/4 Winter Ready Activities
If it’s too snowy to come to school, use the fun snowy day activities so you can keep learning at home! There’s a great selection of maths and literacy activities based on what we have been doing at school as well as a winter snow hunt to get you outside!

Road Safety Walk
A small group of children joined our JRSO’s on a road safety walk on Thursday 26th November as part of Road Safety Week. These children will feed back what they have learned to their classmates. More walks will be planned throughout the rest of the school year so all the children get a chance to participate. All the kids were very well behaved and really took on board all the aspects of road safety. Well done to all!
I would also like to say a big thanks to all our pupils for taking part in “Be Bright, Be Seen” day. The outfits were fantastic and it was really difficult to choose the brightest dressed from each class! Congratulations to our winners!
We also had some fab posters entered into our Road Safety competition. Each class had certain criteria to meet and a huge effort was made by all.
Thanks for all your hard work during Road Safety Week! Laura and the JRSO’s 🙂
Christmas has started for both nurture groups
Both nurture classes have been working incredibly hard to prepare our Christmas display and it’s almost ready….Watch this space for photographs to follow on Monday night… A big well done to all pupils who have shown commitment and determination and demonstrated great team work skills.
ASD2 Shooting Stars Snow Day activity 1
It’s too snowy to come to school. I hope you’re all cosy and wrapped up.
I’d like you to spare a thought for the birds in your garden and feed them some seeds and fruit. If you have the materials to hand, have a go at making a simple bird feeder (see the instructions sheet).
Once your bird food is outside keep an eye open to see what birds you can spot. 🙂easy bird feeders

Primary 2/3/4 are going mobile!
As part of our communications topic, Primary 2/3/4 investigated the history of the telephone on Monday morning. We thought about how the technology has developed so we can use smartphones today. We then designed our own phones, thinking about what features they might have, and built them using Lego or connecting cubes.
