We have had a very busy week preparing for our assembly which was a great success. We have been organising Children in Need for the whole school. We have been collecting and sorting orders, organising a raffle and making posters. We have also been practising for our assembly. We all really enjoy our song ‘We Can Do Good’. Another fun activity we have been doing this week is a science experiment making slime which can go hard and soft. It was great fun.
Shea – I enjoyed playing with Toy Story toy.
Erin – I liked singing our song at assembly.
Logan – I enjoyed making top hats.
Cameron – I loved making slime. It was disgusting.
Gabriel – I enjoyed making slime. The slime was hard and soft.

REMINDER

Class G have had a fun week practicing a new song and learning the actions for our assembly. We have also enjoyed art with Mrs Spence. For Milk and Story we started reading a really funny book called Gangster Granny by David Walliams and have also enjoyed reading some of our Big Books in class.
Here is what Class G have said about their week:
Gabriel – I liked everything. I have been doing white board maths, that was the best thing.
Logan – I am looking forward to the Wii at Golden Time.
Jake – I have been doing some happy stuff. I liked learning our song.
Erin – I liked using the dotty paint. I loved my bunting.
Shea – I was drawing Thomas and Percy.
This has been a great last week of term for Class G. We have been learning all about 3D shapes and had great fun making 3D models. Pupils also enjoyed learning about rolling and sliding using our chute. We have also been continuing out sound topic and have been writing stories titled ‘What’s That Noise’. We had great fun during Fun Time Friday making cakes. We made lots of mess but the cakes taste fantastic. Have a fantastic holiday everyone!
Gabriel – Me and Jake were making water sounds. We were making paint sounds and when we put the cars all over the paper it was all painted.
Cameron – We were rolling down shapes. We were learning about shapes. We were learning if shapes could roll or build.
Shea – I helped clean the table.
Erin – I wrote about an elephant.
Logan – I went to the church. I liked it.
It has been a very busy week in Class G. We have been learning all about sounds. We made lots of different sounds both loud and quiet. We got to play with musical instruments and even made our own instruments. We have also been doing more road safety work and we are very good at it. We have been doing lots of number work and learning how to identify numbers in words and work with ordinal numbers.
Logan – I was pretending to be a car and was driving on the pretend road. When I cross the road I stop and look and listen.
Shea – I was playing the triangle. I was playing symbols.
Erin – I liked the symbols. I was crossing the road.
Class G have been doing lots of work this week on road safety. We have been playing road safety games on the computer, watching videos and making road safety posters. We carried out a traffic survey and discovered that the road beside the school is a very busy road. We have also been having fun in the sensory room. We made the sensory room look like a busy road and we were learning how to cross the road safely. We have also been learning about different types of transport and we created our own transport tickets. We also have great fun playing with road and traffic based toys. Here is what we liked about our road safety week:
Gabriel – I liked doing the road safety activities in the sensory room.
Cameron – I liked being in the sensory room and pretending to cross the road.
Erin – I liked counting the cars, vans and lorries.
Shea – I liked the train track.
Jake – I liked playing with the new cars and road.
Logan – I was doing road safety. I was counting cars and buses with Jayden.
We have had a great week in Class G. The highlight of our week was having science in the garden. We were doing the cola and mint experiment. It was great fun watching the cola become a geyser. Everyone enjoyed this. We have also been learning about 2D shapes. We really enjoyed using the clear beads to make shapes. This week in phonics we have been focusing on s and p. We loved making pizza and pancakes for p. Here is what Class G has to say this week:
Cameron – I had lots of fun with all my friends and finding out amazing new things during work time.
Jake – I liked going to the garden and doing an experiment with Mentos and cola.
Logan – I liked learning about shapes.
Erin – It was Miss Fisher’s birthday. We had a party.
Gabriel – I worked hard in maths. We were adding three hundred plus one hundred.
Class G have had a great first week back. We have welcomed Shea and Erin into our class. We have all been getting to know each other and doing lots of work based on ‘All About Me’. We have been painting portraits and writing about ourselves and have also been taking selfies with our friends. We made high five friendship art which was messy but fun. We also had fun making jelly and top hats.
Summer is here!!!!!!! We have had a busy week finishing off all our work. We have also had fun! It was Miss Garland’s birthday so we had a birthday party on the last day. It was great fun. We had a disco ball in class and lots of dancing. We also enjoyed the Golden Club event and everyone in Class G made it to the golden club. HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
Logan – I liked going on everything at the Golden Club. The bouncy castle and bouncy slide was my favourite.
Gabriel – We had a party. It was Miss Garland’s birthday. I was a good dancer.
Jake – I have liked the water that is new in class. I have liked going on the computer.
Cameron – I went to the Golden Club event. I liked going on the bouncy castle. I also liked doing all my work this week. I liked PE. I was climbing, bouncing and running using legs and arms.
We have had a busy week in Class G. In writing we have been creating worlds for our stories. It was great fun! We had great ideas and used our imagination. We have been learning about Van Gogh and have been talking about the sunflower painting. We produced our own sunflower paintings and they are fantastic. Here is what Class G has to say:
Gabriel – I have liked lots of things. I liked getting stickers for my chart. I can’t wait to take my flowers home.
David – I went swimming. I jumped in the water. I swam under water.
Cameron – I liked PE. We did the train game. I also liked climbing in PE.
Logan – I liked everything in this school. I liked the train and jumping at PE.
Jake – I made a painting. It was a beautiful painting. I would like to go to an art museum and put my painting there.
We have had a very busy week in Class G. We have been looking after the plants which we all worked together to plant. We have been watching them grow. Some have grown a lot faster than others. We have been working on descriptive writing this week and we have been creating our own monsters. It has been great fun. Next week we will be looking at descriptive words, using our monster to write a story and some art work. Here is what Class G wanted to say this week:
David – I planted tomatoes. I had to water the tomatoes.
Gabriel – I was in charge of planting the carrots. I enjoyed watching a Monster Inc. clip and making my own monster.
Cameron – I planted the sunflowers. I have enjoyed doing maths. We have been using numbers to 20.
Logan – I planted sunflowers. We put them in the mud. I gave them water.
Jayden – I was planting cress. You have to put the cress seeds under the soil and give it water when it dries.
Last week Class G came to class to discover their classroom door taped up and a danger sign. Once inside the class they found it a mess. They began to look for clues and discovered Nine was missing and all that was left was his shoe. Class G then began to investigate and were writing about what had happened and creating missing person posters. We also had great fun at swimming as it was the last swimming of the term which means one thing……..FUN SESSION!
Jake – I enjoyed swimming because we got to play with some floats.
Gabriel – Nine is gone! The Mystery Bandit has taken him. A crazy thing has happened. In our class there was lots of mess.
Lewis – At swimming I was pretending there were volcanoes. We were swimming away from the volcano.
Logan – I liked when the classroom was messy. Nine was away. I think he is away swimming.
Cameron – I enjoyed swimming. Swimming lessons were fun. Playing with the floats was fun.
David – I liked swimming. I liked going under water and going on the float.
Class G have had great fun this week making pizza. We made this all from scratch and compared it to a shop bought pizza. Everyone preferred having their own homemade pizza. We have also been writing a pizza recipe for our own recipe books. We have had fun in expressive arts playing with the ribbons. We have also been continuing with our newspaper.
Lewis – I enjoyed doing drama and getting stickers for it.
Gabriel – I had great fun at my trip. I went to Callendar House to learn about the Romans.
Jake – I liked making pizza. It was delicious.
Cameron – I liked doing my work.
David – I liked making pizza. I put tomato, cheese, ham and peperoni on my pizza.
Logan – I liked making a cheese pizza. I liked eating it.
Jayden – I did a backflip in the water. I really enjoyed swimming. I have done jobs. My favourite job was making pizza.
It was a busy week in class G. We are continuing to type up our articles and carry out our interviews. Don’t worry if we have not seen you yet. We are very busy with the paper and will see you soon. We have also been making planets using balloons and we have been making Mother’s Day cards. Here is what we have liked this week:
Cameron – I liked swimming lessons.
Jake – I liked my school lunch. It was awesome.
Gabriel – I liked drama. I liked when we were doing the gingerbread man but now we are being sleeping bears in drama.
Logan – I was in the big pool for swimming. It was fun.
David – I did some drawing with Miss Muirhead. I stuck feathers on my picture.
Jayden – I was watching James and the Giant Peach movie. It was great.
Lewis – In drama we are doing wakey wakey sleepy bear. It is good fun.
Class G have had a fun week. We have been building rockets as part of our storyline in Space. On Monday we were learning about Robert Burns and we compared a poem is Scotts and English. We also had to follow instructions in Scotts. It was fun! The class have been working on our times tables. We are great at the 10 times table.
Jake – I was learning to count to 100 in tens and the ten times table. It was a piece of cake.
Gabriel – I liked doing the ten times table. I liked everything. I enjoyed the 25th January because we learnt all about Robert Burns.
Lewis – I enjoyed listening to James and the Giant Peach. We had to draw the not very nice aunties.
David – I liked building my rocket.
We have a new pupil in our class. He is called Nine and he is an Astronaut.
This week class G have been working really hard on their Context for Learning which is focussed on space. We have been building our character who is called Nine and have also been planning our space rockets which he will travel in. We have also been working on tens and units, 3D shapes and addition in Numeracy. In Literacy we have been learning about newspapers. Class G are looking forward to building the rocket ship which he will travel in.
Gabriel – We made Nine. We made paper Nine and model Nine. Nine is awesome.
David – I sat with Miss Garland and we had fun with the playdoh. I also liked doing work on the IPad.
Jake – I got to work with new toys with Miss Fiddas. I don’t know how many but they were good. They were mystery toys.
Class G have been very busy this week becoming inventors. We have been watching Wallace and Gromits World of Inventions and we decided to become inventors. We had lots of ideas. We made a transporter, a flying machine, an invisibility scooter and more. Class G have been doing lots of other things too. Here is what we have been doing:
Lewis – Liweniatis the naughty elf e-mail Miss Garland. He emailed photos of him eating food, trying to catch my goldfish, stealing a playstation and putting toilet roll all over the Christmas Tree.
Jake – In the sensory room I made a Deloreon that travels into the past. I built that. It was my invention. I am going to go back to the year 1960.
Gabriel – I liked looking at pictures of the naughty elf. I went to the Christmas disco with p2/3. I played with Ross and Rory. We played 2 Christmas games.
Logan – I went to a party at the school. It was good. I was dancing and running.
David – I liked the Christmas lunch. I liked the Haribo. I liked the table decorations. I liked pulling the cracker.
Jayden – I liked swimming because we got to go on the floats. We were sailing on the floats. I had lots of fun.

It has been a very busy week in Class G. As it is the Christmas lunch next week we decided we needed items for our Christmas table. We had to plan out shopping list and were all in charge of buying an item and looking after our own money. We went to the shops to buy everything. We have also been learning how to make our own snack in Health and Wellbeing. We have been learning how to make toasties. These were very tasty. Here is what we have to see about our week.
Gabriel – Me and Jake made some toasties. I tried my toastie but I didn’t like it. I put ham, chicken and peppers in my toastie. I then got to make plain toast and I liked this.
David – I went to the shop. I crossed the road using the green man. In the shop I bought Santa Claus Napkins for our Christmas table.
Logan – I was making toasties. I put cheese on my toastie and I put some chicken on it. I liked it. I like cheese. We had to make it ourself and put it in the toaster. I then ate it with a drink of juice. I sat with everyone.
Jake – The shops were really good. I was in charge of buying the Christmas treat. I chose chocolate coins for everyone. Yum Yum! I chose the coins because there was enough for everyone.
Jayden – I found the Christmas table cloth at Poundland. We paid for our Christmas items. We gave our money to the man at the counter. He put the money in the till.
Class G have had a fantastic and busy week. Our favourite day was Children in Need on Friday as we all got to dress down or wear our onesies. Here are our comments for this week:
Jayden – On dress down day I was dressed up as a minion.
Lewis – On Friday it was dress down day. I was dressed as Pudsey. Mr Welsh has the same onesie as me. So did Mrs Mallin.
Gabriel – I had a Pikachu onesie on for dress down day. I liked wearing my onesie.
Logan – I had great fun with the micro machines. In context for Learning I got to make things with magnets.
Jake- I liked playing the Wii at choose. We used magnets and I made things.
David – On Friday I wore my black onesie for Children in Need.
