WINTER READY – ARRANGEMENTS

Image result for ice and snowThe winter weather is here and with it come additional pressure on our FMA staff (janitors) to ensure footpaths are cleared and salted prior to the arrival of teaching staff and children.

The FM staff member on the early shift at Balbardie will clear one initial footpath to back and front playgrounds to allow staff and pupils access to the school safely.  The other footpaths will be worked on by the FM staff member as soon as possible during the daylight hours.

FM staff are not equipped to clear playgrounds, staff car parks or access roads, the responsibility for clearing these areas lies with the Roads Department.

HARVEST CELEBRATION

Harvest Celebration

We hope you can come to our Harvest Celebration on Friday, 13th October 2017.  We would love it if you could come as the House Captain Team have put a lot of work into this and so have the rest of the school, so it would be very nice if you could come.

It would be very much appreciated if you would donate some food (tins and packets of dried food) for charity.  Please note all food handed in will be donated to those less fortunate in Bathgate.

The service will start at 9.30am and lasts about 30 minutes, and will be held in Bathgate High Church.

Many regards

The House Captain Team

PRIMARY 7 – BATHGATE ACADEMY ROAD SHOW

Senior Staff from Bathgate Academy will be hosting an information roadshow at Balbardie Primary School on Tuesday, 17 January at 6.30pm.  All parents and pupils are invited to attend this event where Bathgate Academy staff will provide information on timetables, curriculum and other useful information re starting at Bathgate Academy.

There will also be time for questions at the end.

Please come along and support this event and help make the transition from primary school to secondary school as easy as possible.

IPAYIMPACT – PAYING ONLINE & ORDERING LUNCHES

We would like to encourage parents/carers to register with the on-line payment system which is now operational throughout West Lothian.  The system allows parents to make payments for school lunches, school trips, etc.  It reduces the risk of money going missing and allows you to keep a record of what you have paid.  It is also beneficial to the school in that it reduces the amount of cash handling that staff need to do.

Ordering meals is also very simple using this system and meals can be ordered daily or for a whole week at a time.

Below are links to parent guides which will guide you through the process.

If you have any further questions, please talk to one of our Admin Staff.
