P5a

For literacy this week, we have been continuing to look at persuasive writing. We discussed why education is important and we wrote our arguments. In numeracy we have continued to look at symmetry and we made posters for our Maths Working Wall. We also started looking at negative numbers and used number lines to help us with negative number sums. We are continuing to learn about different political parties in the Scottish Parliament, and we worked in groups to create our own political parties. We decided on a name and slogan and thought of what policies and ideas we would put in our manifesto. Here are some of our favourite things this week:

Suvi – I enjoyed P.E. where we got to practice our basketball skills.

Teighan – I enjoyed making a song with my spelling words.

Alex – I am having a lot of fun at multi-sports club.

Megan – I liked creating our own parties in groups.

Hannah – I had fun designing a poster for the Toy Story float.

Lauren – I am really enjoying drawing mythical creatures in Art with Mrs Thomson.

Mia – It was really fun making our own political parties and policies.

Euan – I liked the 2D and 3D assessment.

Miles – I really enjoyed the Mental Maths.

Connor – The Loch Ness Monster reading was really interesting and I liked the challenge task.

Have a lovely and relaxing long weekend!
