Primary 2/1 Blog – Week Beginning 9.4.18

We are now at the end of our first week back after Easter, and what a week it has been!  We have been really busy learning lots of new and exciting information…we even started our topic about dinosaurs!! Here are some of the things we know, want to know or like about dinosaurs.

Breaghannon – “I liked learning about dinosaurs, I know there were volcanoes when the dinosaurs were alive”

Regan – “I know that dinosaur bones have turned into fossils that we can look at now”

Teigan – “We saw some dinosaur footprints, they were very big”

Daniel – “I learned that lots of dinosaurs were bigger than humans – their hands were bigger”

Leah – “I know that some of the animals we think were dinosaurs are actually ancient reptiles”

Rio – “I learned that dinosaurs ate other dinosaur eggs.  We read a story and when the boy touched the dinosaur egg he could see the dinosaur”

Lucy – “I learned that dinosaurs came from eggs and other dinosaurs would try to eat them for food”

Mason – “I like the big dinosaurs,  my favourite is a T-Rex”

Aiden – “I liked hearing about volcanoes, we learned about volcanoes a while ago”

Millie – “I’ve learned that some dinosaurs have feathers”

Ellie – “I know that the dinosaurs died from a meteor hitting the earth.  All the dinosaurs died”

Rory – “I learned about how many legs dinosaurs walked on.  These were called bi-pedal and quaruped”

Cameron – “I am excited to learn about different dinosaur names”

Griffin – “I know that dinosaurs that lived in the sea were alive before the dinosaurs that lived on the earth.  I saw it on Netflix”

Brooke – “I know that some dinosaurs are bigger than people”

Sarah – “I think that dinosaurs used to live in hot, hot weather”

Poppy F – “I am excited to learn about how the dinosaurs lived”

Poppy D – “Some dinosaurs left footprints that were bigger than human hands.  Some dinosaurs were bigger than others”

Emily – “I thought all dinosaurs lived in the desert but not all dinosaurs did.  They lived in places a bit like a rainforest with volcanoes”

Leila – “Dinosaurs are not alive anymore, they lived in the past”
