Climate Action

It has been a great week in Class Moon.  On Tuesday we all loved our writing lesson as we had our own pumpkins and we designed and carved these.  We then wrote about our pumpkin.  We had some great descriptive words. In the afternoon we started our swimming block.  It was great fun going swimming and we are all happy we are going again.  We had great fun in Numeracy doing addition with the blocks.  This week we started our new Learning Across the Curriculum topic.  This term we are looking at weather and climate.  We all completed our KWL grid as we are going to be planning what we want to learn.  We have already started Elliot’s idea and have began making planets as we are going to learn about the weather and climate on different planets.  We have been making our own planets using balloons. Here is what Class Moon wanted to know about on their KWL grid:

Elliot – Storms on different planets and if Jupiter has hurricanes.

Charlie – What causes global warming?

Jake – What is happening up in the clouds?

Gabriel – Why is the sun so bright?  How does one steam make so many clouds?  Why does Global warming happen?

Logan – I want to find out about the sun.
