We have had a very busy week. In our topic we have been learning about homes around the world. We built mud huts out of sand, tepees from art straws and stilted houses out of lego. We all really enjoyed learning about the different types of houses people live in. We also made collages of different kinds of houses using different materials.
In maths this week we have been learning more about symmetry and created out own symmetry pictures of houses and butterflies. Miss Elliot was very impressed with our pictures!
We all really enjoyed writing this week and we had to use describing words to write a story about a haunted house. We all had great ideas. Some stories had vampires, ghosts, wolves and even moving trees. This week our star writers were Cameron and Lucy. They had fantastic ideas!
Awards:
Pupil of the Week – Sam
Class Dojo pupil of the week – Keira
Drama award – Rachael Muir
What we enjoyed most this week in school:
Charlie – writing a scary story
Grace – writing a spooky story
Lotte – learning about numbers to 100
Gemma – 3D shapes and making symmetrical pictures
Hi Primary 2e,
I’m so pleased to hear that you are continuing to work really hard in your class and are learning so much. Congratulations to everyone who has won an award. I’d love to read some of your haunted house stories. Could you bring some for me to read next week?
Hope you’re all having a lovely weekend.
Miss Henderson
That’s good to know how other people live
I am glad you enjoyed.
