p2lg are learning about The Senses

This week we have been learning about our senses. The 5 senses are sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste.

We have learned about the eye and how it works. We also thought about what it is like to lose your sight. We did a blindfold obstacle course where our partner led us around the course. This helped us to understand how visually impaired people might feel.

“The black dot in your eye is called your pupil.” Ross

“The coloured part of your eye is called the Iris.” Liam

“Your eyelid keeps dirt out of your eyes.” Caitlin

“I liked the blindfold course but it is a shame for people who are blind all the time.” Archie

Here are a couple of pictures of our blindfold assault course.

  1. Hi Primary 2lg,

Well done on taking your knowledge of the senses to the next level by looking at what it would be like to not have one or more of the senses. It is great that you are learning to appreciate how difficult it is for people who are blind. Keep up the good work.

    Have a lovely weekend.

  2. Hello P2lg,

I was so impressed with how you were supporting and helping each other with your playground activity. Keep up the fabulous work.
