Art and Design S2 Course Outline
S2 classes attend Art and Design in practical classes (i.e. no more than 20 pupils).
Drawing skills using the visual elements; line, shape, form, colour, tone, pattern and texture. Drawing natural and man made objects: Skull, Plants, Shoe, Bottle. These drawings are used as research for a final monoprint.
Visual information handling through critical/analytical activity. Encouraging personal response and recording own experiences. Pupils will combine information from worksheets to create finished written essay booklet.

This unit incorporates drawing, textures, pattern and lettering. Layout – graphics and basic design techniques. Finished work 1 X A3 poster & 1 X A4/5 concept drawing.
Craft & Design 3D techniques and skills, developing skills in hand-eye co-ordination, imagination and creativity.
Pupils use African symbols to design and create a personal logo. The outcome will be a pendant/brooch or keyring made from clay.
