Year to year transition

Each year as classes move on, the staff take great care to make sure every child is fully supported at what may be a stressful time for some children. In the Summer Term preparations begin for moving into the next stage. These include –

• Chances for children to meet and spend some time with their new teacher in their new classroom before August
• Additional transition sessions for some children if necessary / beneficial
• Current and future teachers working together to make sure everyone is fully supported socially and emotionally
• Continual monitoring and discussions of academic progress to ensure a smooth transition and continuation of learning into next session for every child.
