Literacy
Reading: Use your reading book or any book at home to complete some reading tasks such as:
• Create a new front cover or blurb
• Main Ideas – find the main ideas within the text.
• Inference – draw conclusions/make predictions.
• Create a question worksheet and answer sheet.
Spelling: Using your weekly spelling words, carry out some active spelling strategies such as:
• Pyramid writing
• Draw and label
• Rainbow writing
• Coloured vowels
• Cursive writing
• Bubble writing
• Write a silly story using all of your spelling words.
If you’re feeling adventurous you could go outside and write your spelling words in the snow!
Writing:
• Write your own story, it could be about a snowy day like today!
• Make up a silly story with your spelling words.
Numeracy
- Log into Glow through RM Unify and play Easi-maths.
- Use your Sum Dog login (its in your homework diary) and play a game or two.
- Top Marks games.
- Write out your times tables – ask someone at home to test you.
- Make a worksheet on what we have been covering in maths recently.
- Create a board game about multiplication or division. Bring it in and we can play it.
