South Lanarkshire Council are offering a range of supported study sessions that your child may wish to take part in. They are being run by lots of teachers from different schools and should be great fun! If this is something your child may be interested in, all the sessions are virtual and they can join simply by typing the relevant code into Google Meet and joining.
We are happy to be bringing back our Online Safety Awareness Evening with Mr French!
In previous years this has been a very well-attended evening where we discuss the latest trends and things to look out for as parents online. We discuss how to best support your child and keep them safe as they navigate the online world.
For the first time, the second half of this evening will be hosted by Mrs Purton and she will also be discussing how to support Numeracy in the home.
The session will take place online this Thursday 10th March @ 7-8pm. We will be using Google Meet.
You can either sign in to Google Meet using your own Gmail account or your child’s Google account (on a sticker at the back of their diary).
We are really looking forward to seeing as many people there as possible!
Dear Parents/Carers
I wish to let you know that there have been reported cases of Covid in persons linked to the school. You do not need to do anything unless you or a member of your family are contacted by Test and Protect as a close contact. You are asked to note the guidance on self-isolation in the most recent letter from NHSL Public Health primary .
Mrs D MacKenna, Head Teacher
Parents Evening will take place on Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th March.
This year we will be using an online video system called ‘School Cloud’. More information on how to use School Cloud and how to book your appointments will be with you very soon, but first we must confirm your email address.
In your child’s diary today is a sticker with the email address we have on file for you.
If this is correct, please tick the box on the sticker.
If it is not correct, please clearly write the correct email address in the space on the sticker.
Once we have confirmed all email addresses, the school will send out a School Cloud explanation which will then allow you to book your appointments very easily and have a video conversation with teachers on the evening.
Click here to watch the Lockerbie Manor meeting that just ended. Apologies for the sound!
Thanks to everyone who attended. If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to ask.
A reminder that the information evening for Lockerbie takes place tonight at 7pm.
The meeting will take place on your child’s Google Classroom page.
If logging in on a laptop, simply click ‘join’ on the Google Classroom page and wait to be admitted.
If logging on through a tablet or phone, please make sure you have both the Google Classroom and Google Meet apps installed, and they are signed into you child’s account ie – gw14adamsjohn@sl.glow.scot – note the different ending!
Your child’s login details are on a sticker on the back page of their homework diary.
See you all tonight!
South Lanarkshire Council are looking for the views of families on sanitary provisions throughout the authority.
Dear Nursery Parents/Carers

Did you know that it can cost families around £15 a week to provide a daily packed lunch for nursery children?
Did you know that the children are entitled to a FREE, nutritionally balanced, lunch as part of their nursery day?
From next week we will put photos of our nursery lunch choices on the app and website for you to look at with your child. We will introduce taster pots of our nursery menu each day from next week to encourage more of our children to choose a nursery lunch.
Current guidance states that any packed lunches brought should have a frozen icepack inserted in order to maintain the appropriate temperature.
We hope that you will find this helpful, and that we can help you to save a bit of money in these times of rising fuel costs.
