Burns Day Celebrations

This year Woodpark will be holding our Burns Day Celebrations on Thursday 27th January.

By now all the children will have received their poem(s) to learn. We would really appreciate adults helping your children to learn them!

Two entries from each class will be chosen to perform on the day, where they will be in with a chance of winning the whole school prize!

Good luck everyone and have fun reciting your poems!

Primary 7 Parents/Carers

Can all Primary 7 parents please email the school office to confirm which high school your child intends to go to.

Please email with subject line ‘Transition’ then type your child’s name and the name of the high school.

Example

Subject: Transition

Name: John Smith

School: Lesmahagow High School

🎄 Wednesday Reminders! 🎄

  • Christmas Lunch (packed lunch or home lunch if your child has not pre-ordered).

 

  • Christmas Jumper Day for Save the Children charity (donation optional as always)

 

  • Last day to order panto popcorn and juice for 20p

Party arrangements

  • Lunchtimes will be as normal (no early pick ups)
  • Home lunches must be back before the bell as normal
  • Children can come to school dressed in their party clothes
  • Children can change into their party clothes in school in their classrooms (changing rooms cannot be used for the time being).

Reporting absences

As of today the school will operate an answer messaging service for reporting absences. When you phone the school you will be offered two options –

1. Report an absence

2. Speak to the office

If you are reporting an absence, please clearly state your child’s name, class and the reason for absence.
